Head Cover made of HDPE for Hex Screws / Nuts

Application area Protects from dirt as well as steel screws from corrosion and deterioration.... more

Application area

Protects from dirt as well as steel screws from corrosion and deterioration.

Polyethylene (PE) resists acids, greases and oils.

Product specification

Chemical features:

Resistant to weak and strong alkalis and acids, except oxidizing acids, and only relatively suitable for hydrofluoric acid; resistant to organic acids, aliphatic hydrocarbons and organic solvents below +60 °C.

Resistance to weather:

The material degrades when exposed to direct sunlight

Material specification:

Excellent impact resistance even at low temperatures, antiadhesive, waxy and soft surface; HDPE features a higher strength and hardness than LDPE, high tearing strength, physiologically safe, good dielectrical properties, very low tendency to swell when in contact with polar fluids (e.g. alcohols, organic acids, esters, ketones etc.) as well as greases, oils and waxes.

Due to its chemical properties, the bonding of PE requires special adhesives.
