Up to 20 mm length through thread, from 25 mm onwards 2 blind threads
Chemical features:
Well suited for solvents, petrol, mineral oils and fats, alcohols and hydraulic fluids
Resistant to weak acids and alkalis
Sensitive to UV radiation, the material loses its surface gloss and embrittles when exposed to direct sunlight over longer time periods
Material properties:
POM features an interesting combination of strong hardness with dimensional stability and nevertheless high impact resistance
Shatter-proof
High toughness and hardness even at low temperatures
Very good resilience
Good resistance to stress cracking
Very good sliding and wear behavior, low friction values and good abrasion resistance
High fatigue strength with changing stress conditions (spring effect)
High dimensional stability under heat
Very high dimensional stability, thus preferred material for precision, machine and apparatus construction; suitable for narrow tolerances
Good electrical properties
Approved for food
The material features low moisture absorption, thus well suited as insulating part and for storage in humid environments
Resistant to mildew and suitable for storage in earth
Weldable; bondable only after pretreatment
