Product specification

Fastening elements made of PTFE are ideally suitable for constructions under highest thermal and chemical load. Very good coefficient of sliding friction, therefore no sticking. Elements made of PTFE hardly get dirty due to their excellent antiadhesive properties.

Very good chemical resistance

Very high temperature resistance

Suitable for food contact applications

Extremely resistant to UV and weather, even under extreme climatic conditions

Chemical features:

Universal chemical resistance e.g. to fuming sulfuric and nitric acids, except to molten or dissolved alkali metals, elementary fluorine, perfluorokerosene, chlorinetrifluoride as well as other fluorine compounds that attack the material at high pressures and temperatures.

Material specification:

PTFE is a fluoroplast with excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, solvents and gases.

Good electrical properties.

Sterilizable and usable in a temperature range from -200 to +260 °C depending on the degree of mechanical load.

No embrittlement, even when in contact with boiling helium (-269 °C)

Machinable but bondable only after pretreatment.

Not resistant to fluorine compounds and molten alkali metals at higher temperatures.
