General Information

Universal washers or spacer rings

Ideal sliding rings between rotating parts

Insulate moisture and electricity

Absorb vibrations

Chemical features:

Resistant to aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons, fuels, mineral oils and mineral lubricants; suitable for alkohols, esters, ketones, ethers and amines; good resistance to weak alkalis, but only moderate resistance to strong alkalis; limited resistance to weak mineral and organic acids; not resistant to oxidizing acids, strong mineral and organic acids as well as phenols; limited resistance to hydrolysis

Material specification:

Polyamide is an elastic, tough, loadable, but notch-sensitive material

Impact resistant

Resistant to abrasion and cold

High fatigue strength and excellent resilience

High wear resistance and good mechanical damping capacity

Insulating properties and an amazingly high tensile strength

Connecting parts made of polyamide and similar plastics protect from rust and corrosion damage

Polyamide can also be used in the food processing industry and in medical fields

PA 6 features a higher impact resistance compared to PA 6.6

PA 6 has the highest water absorption of all common plastics up to 9 to 10 % (followed by PA 6.6 with 8 to 9 %), thus considerably increased toughness, flexibility and elongation. However, the strength of the material can therefore be reduced by up to 10 %.
