Application area
Clarification of aggressive hot fluids and high-temperature gases (other filter media can dissolve and thus contaminate the material to be filtered)
Sampling and analysis e.g. of oven emissions, polyaromatic hydrocarbons, airborne silicates, coal dust and coal tar product emissions, airborne asbestos fibers
Product specification
Silver membranes have no fibers due to their strong monolithic structure, and their particles are molecularly bonded. There is no media migration and thus no contamination of the filtrate.
Uniform and exact pore size, smooth surface
Repeatedly usable
Unlimitedly durable
No absorption and no adsorption
Resistant to alcohol, fuels, hydrocarbons, natural and synthetic oils
Not resistant to hydrocyanic acid, nitric acid and sulfuric acid
Notes:
For scanning electron microscopy the shinier side of the silver membranes should be used, for all other filtrations and analytical operations the duller side is to be used.
