Product specification

The screen cloth in antistatic design is particularly suited for screening of dry and electrostatically chargeable materials due to incorporated electrically conductive threads (no clogging, thus no danger of electrical discharge and sparking).

Advantages compared to metal fabrics: more application possibilities, lower weight, mechanical and elastic properties of a standard PA 6.6 synthetic fabric.

Deliverable in small individual segments (20 x 29 cm) or in a cost-effective large format (other lengths are available on request)

Technical specification

Colour: silver (optically, under microscope alternately black and white threads are visible)

Spec. resistance: <1 x 105 Ohm

General Information

Cloth for screening and filtering purposes

Monofil nylon cloth featuring high weave quality, precision and regularity of mesh sizes. It is insensitive to vibrations, highly resistant to fatigue caused by vibrating or bending and does not crack.

Turning yellow and reduction of stability depending on temperature and exposure time

The cloth features very high abrasion resistance, good hydrolysis resistance and resilience.

Poor UV-resistance

Chemical features:

Solvent resistance: Good resistance to organic solvents except to dimethylformamide, aniline, cyclohexanone, hot o-dichlorobenzene, phenols and cold m-cresol.

Resistance to acids: Is destroyed in cold hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, and formic acid etc. depending on concentration.

Resistance to alkalis: Very good resistance to alkalis at room temperature.

Material: PA 6.6 (polyamide 6.6, nylon)

Density: 1.14 g/mm3

Tensile strength: 41 - 67 daN/mm2

Relative strength at wet conditions: 85 - 90 %

Elongation at break: 20 - 35 %

Moisture uptake: 3.5 - 4 % (at +20 °C and 65 % r.h.)

Melting point: +250 °C

Softening temperature: +230 °C

Temperature range: -40 to +115 °C (turning yellow above +100 °C)
