General Information

Cellular rubber is a closed-cell, foam-like elastomer that is used, among other things, for sealing, soft storage, insulation, insulation, Entklappern and deadening.

Cellular rubber has no outer skin, making the surface more delicate and easier to damage. Due to the porous but closed-cell structure, the penetration of aqueous medium is not possible.

Cell rubber seals are thus virtually water and air tight.

Foam rubber and cellular rubber are made from the same raw materials, often EPDM, CR, NR, NBR or SBR. Due to different manufacturing processes, however, the material structure of sponge rubber and cellular rubber differs fundamentally.
