BEV-A-Line Composite Hoses for Medical Technology and the Food Industry

As a specialist in plastics and tube technology, Reichelt Chemietechnik offers a well-sorted product range of various hose systems to provide suitable solutions for almost every application. BEV-A-Line hoses are highly specialized and designed for critical applications where purity, durability, and regulatory compliance are paramount. These products are, among other applications, an excellent choice for medical technology, the food industry, laboratory analytics, and pharmaceuticals, meeting the highest demands thanks to their robust construction and versatile material combinations such as:

BEV-A-Line Composite Hoses: Key Features

BEV-A-Line composite tubing is used in pharmaceutical, particle, and gas analysis applications, as well as for ultra-pure food-grade and medical purposes. With FDA compliance, it is integrated into medical measuring devices and used as transfer tubes in the beverage and food industry. These composite solutions are also employed in laboratory technology as media tubing for critical chemicals. Alongside FDA standards, the flexible dual-layer hoses also comply with USP regulations for pharmaceuticals and food.

Variants of BEV-A-Line Hoses

FEP/LDPE Composite Hoses

These products, made from FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) and LDPE (low-density polyethylene), are ideal for laboratory technology, biochemistry, and process technology. The inner lining consists of the highly chemical- and temperature-resistant fluoropolymer FEP, while the outer layer is made from LDPE, a polyolefin. This combination provides high mechanical strength, pressure resistance, and chemical resistance, while maintaining excellent flexibility. The liner surface is free of extractable components, physiologically safe, and taste- and odor-neutral. The temperature range is -30 °C to +50 °C, with operating pressures between 14 bar and 63 bar at +20 °C, depending on hose dimensions.

TYGON®-FEP/PVC Pharmaceutical Composite Hose

The inner lining of this dual-layer BEV-A-Line hose is also made of FEP, offering universal chemical resistance, even against aggressive media such as acids, alkalis, or solvents. The outer layer is made of TYGON® (cross-linked PVC-P), resulting in a highly flexible and mechanically stable composite tubing with pressure resistance ranging from 3.1 bar to 6.9 bar at +20 °C, depending on hose dimensions. The working temperature is between -10 °C and +77 °C. This pharmaceutical product is FDA-compliant (FDA 21 CFR §177.1550) and meets the standards of the European Pharmacopoeia, making it ideal for pharmaceutical technology, production, and medical devices.

HYTREL®/PVC Pharmaceutical and Particle Hose

BEV-A-Line hoses made from HYTREL®/PVC are used in gas analysis and as particle hoses. The inner liner, made of the thermoplastic copolyester HYTREL®, is inert, taste- and odor-neutral, and does not absorb liquids. It complies with FDA, USDA, National Formulary, and USP standards for food applications. The black outer layer is made of soft PVC-P, making them suitable for beverages, food, and pharmaceuticals, as well as analytical and medical devices. This product has a wide temperature range of -35 °C to +120 °C and can be autoclaved at +136 °C.

LDPE/EVA Pharmaceutical Composite Hoses

BEV-A-Line hose systems made from LDPE/EVA are used in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and food technology. The inner layer is composed of LDPE, which is completely odor- and taste-neutral, inert, and resistant to many inorganic and organic substances. The outer layer is made of EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate). This hose is FDA-compliant and meets USP standards for food, allowing its use in the food and medical industries. Sterilization is possible using ethylene oxide (gas) or gamma radiation. The operating temperature is -35 °C to +70 °C, or up to +95 °C for high-temperature versions.

Applications for BEV-A-Line Hoses

The primary application areas for BEV-A-Line hoses include medical technology, the food and beverage industry, the pharmaceutical sector, and laboratory technology. Specific uses include transfer systems for beverages and food, sterile filling systems in the pharmaceutical industry, and laboratory setups for safely transporting chemicals and media.
