Hose Materials for Paint Spray Hoses
We offer paint spray hoses in two versions, both manufactured with an inner diameter of 9.0 mm and an outer diameter of 16.0 mm, made from either NBR (acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber) or EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene rubber). Both paint spray hose versions are available in lengths of 5 meters, 10 meters, and 15 meters.
The mentioned hose materials are also known under the following names:

Both hose types are characterized by good abrasion resistance and excellent mechanical properties.
EPDM Paint Spray Hoses
Paint spray hoses made of EPDM are marked with an orange longitudinal stripe and can withstand temperatures from -40°C to +100°C. Thanks to the synthetic fabric insert, pressure loads of up to 10 bar at +20°C are possible. These products are nevertheless flexible, lightweight, and pliable. Chemical resistance to the following media is provided:
- Spirit varnishes
- Acrylic paints
- Nitrocellulose paints
- Epoxy resins or epoxy paints
- Polyurethane paints (PUR)
- Aromatic hydrocarbons
- Esters and ketones
The pressure tubes for paints are also electrically conductive with a specific resistance of <10^6 ohms. They are therefore also considered antistatic paint hoses or antistatic varnish hoses and have an absolutely smooth interior with a smooth exterior featuring longitudinal grooves.
NBR Spray Hoses for Paints
In contrast, paint spray hoses made of nitrile rubber are marked with gray longitudinal stripes. These varnish hoses can be used in a temperature range from -20°C to +80°C and also show excellent mechanical and elastic material properties. These also feature an integrated synthetic fabric insert, which ensures pressure resistance up to 25 bar at +20°C. The hoses can be used for the following paints and media, among others:
- Dispersion paints
- Alkyd resin paints
- Spirit varnishes
- Polyester paints (two-component)
NBR hoses for paints—absolutely smooth inside and outside—are also antistatic and electrically conductive, with a specific resistance of <10^6 ohms.
